Discover the behind-the-scenes secrets of Etyeki Kúria!
Once each season, we open the doors of Etyeki Kúria Winery just a little to give you a glimpse behind the scenes. During the Winery & Vineyard Tour program, you can gain insight into the everyday work of our production team, discover the exciting details of winemaking, and taste wines that are still maturing in the cellar.
The host of the morning is chief winemaker Sándor Mérész, who personally guides us through the winery while sharing stories, professional insights, and behind-the-scenes secrets. After tasting tank and barrel samples, we continue our exploration among the vines, then round off the experience with a generous shared meal at the Etyeki Kúria Sparkling Estate.
Program details
9:00 – Departure from Kelenföld
We travel comfortably to Etyek by private shuttle, making the journey itself part of the shared experience.
9:30 – Arrival at Etyeki Kúria Winery
We begin the tour, where you can learn more about the winemaking process and the everyday life of our winery.
9:30–11:00 – Winery tour and tasting of tank and barrel samples
Led by chief winemaker Sándor Mérész, we tour the winery and gain insight into how our wines and sparkling wines are made. Tasting tank and barrel samples offers a unique opportunity to discover how the wines in progress develop, while fascinating stories and professional details complete the program.
11:15–11:45 – Vineyard tour
We head from the cellar towards the vineyards. During the vineyard tour, you can learn more about the Etyek terroir, one of the defining sources of our wines’ character.
11:45–13:00 – Feast table at the Sparkling Estate
We conclude the morning’s discoveries with a shared meal at the Etyeki Kúria Sparkling Estate, surrounded by the vines. Our beautifully laid table awaits with fresh local delicacies, which we can enjoy in good company while sharing our experiences and stories.
13:00 – Departure for Kelenföld
We return to Budapest by private shuttle, taking with us the flavors and experiences of our Etyek morning.
A morning closer to the world of wine
The Winery & Vineyard Tour is for those who not only love good wines and sparkling wines, but are also curious about how they are made. It is an opportunity to meet our experts in person, learn about the work taking place at our winery, explore the vineyards of Etyek, and crown it all with a relaxed shared meal.
