Sándor Mérész is a MASTER at winemaking!
Straw-yellow wine, clear and brilliantly shining in the glass. Its aroma is fresh, citrusy, and clean. The same clarity and thoughtfulness are reflected in the taste. Its acidity harmony is exemplary. A balanced wine, as one of our reviewers put it: "a masterpiece."
Thank you for the wine tasting and the lovely wine. We are from South Africa, Cape Town and the Stellenbosch region, known for good wine. But your wine is as good as ours! Thank you very much!
...a jolly joker: our semi-amateur dinner guests find beauty in it just as much as our discerning tasting companions.
Very good, beautiful Pinot Noir varietal wine, with attractive fruitiness and quality fine tannins.
If anyone besides me is interested in the current status of the Burgundy project in Hungary, they just need to remember the name Etyeki Kúria. For a little over 15 euros, you can take home one of the best chardonnays and one of the best pinot noirs.
"In every circumstance, we must make the best of our abilities, and this can only be achieved in one way: through honest, persistent, and dedicated work."

Briefly about the terroir and the wines
The Etyek Hills are characterized by windy plateaus. Despite abundant sunshine, the average temperature is lower than the national average. On the limestone-based, deep-layered brown forest soil, we have the opportunity to grow grapes with excellent acidity structure. Most people compare the terroir to the French Champagne and Sancerre regions. Accordingly, the style of the wine region is embodied by acidity-driven white wines, light rosé wines, sparkling wines, and as a perpetual exception, red wines made from pinot noir.
