Since the first planting in Etyek in 2001, we have had a passionate relationship. A multifaceted variety that shows its best at the traditional March Pinot Noir Vertical tasting held at the Etyeki Kúria Pezsgőbirtok. Multiple-step selective hand harvest. Gentle destemming. The 14-day skin fermentation is done with manual punching down. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously, then the wine matures for 12 months in 300-liter Hungarian and Austrian oak barrels. The proportion of new barrels is 30%.
The perfect interplay of red berries and spices welcomes us. Ripe cherry - sweet fennel, rosehip - black pepper, sour cherry - nutmeg pairs vibrate. On the palate, a soft and velvety sip greets us, tasting brings back the aromas, complemented by subtle blood plum and red currant. A true Burgundy-style pinot, with the (inimitable) Etyeki acidity.
You can purchase our Pinot Noir 2023 with a discount in the Kúria Webshop and Wine Bar. Shall we toast?
